Brazil Pix Automático
Learn how to integrate Pix Automático for seamless recurring payments.
What is Pix Automático?
Pix Automático, an innovative solution that leverages the infrastructure of Pix—the most popular payment method in Brazil—aims to simplify periodic charges, such as bills and subscriptions.

With Pix Automático, your customers approve a one-time authorization with their bank, allowing you to send recurring payment orders without the payer needing to be present for each next transaction. This means more convenience and fewer interruptions for your customers.
Pix's interoperability ensures that your customers can accept the Pix Automático authorization regardless of where they hold their accounts, significantly increasing the adoption of this payment method.
Customer journeys
It can be offered in a seamless and efficient experience that can be available to your customers in five distinct journeys:
Journey | Description |
---|---|
Authorization via QR code | A QR Code containing the journey information should be provided to the payer so that they can scan it with their banking app and follow the authorization flow. In this case, an initial payment is not created, allowing the first payment to be initiated at a later time. |
Authorization via QR code with first-payment | The same QR Code will contain both the authorization and the first payment information, allowing the payer to perform two actions with the same code: make the first payment and authorize the recurrence. |
Bank notification Upcoming | In cases where the merchant has the payer's banking information, a push notification can be sent directly to the respective bank, allowing the payer to proceed with the authorization flow. |
Post payment Sign-Up Path Upcoming | After making a payment, the payer will receive an offer to complete the authorization flow for recurring payments. |
Open Finance Upcoming | Leveraging dLocal's position as an ITP, the authorization journey can be conducted through the Open Finance flow. The difference is that the customer is automatically redirected from your checkout to the banking app where they wish to complete the authorization. |
