Settlements

After collecting payments, the funds will be securely held in accounts. They will become available for withdrawal after the settlement period.

  • Funds available in liable accounts can be withdrawn to your own bank accounts.
  • Funds available in user accounts can be withdrawn to your users' bank accounts.

We offer some options for creating settlements:

  • Schedule settlements and dLocal will automatically trigger them for you. For assistance with this option, please contact your assigned Technical Account Manager.
  • You can initiate on-demand settlements through the Payouts API.

Before making a settlement

You can send all bank information in the API request while we also support to add bank accounts to an account ahead of settlement.

We will validate

  1. The user's account status must be APPROVED. Settlements cannot proceed if the account has not been validated.
  2. Beneficiary's tax ID needs to match the tax ID provided during the onboarding process.
  3. Ensure the bank account used for the settlements belongs to the same tax ID
